Avoid at all costs! - Office Administrator Glamorous Employee Review

This company's hiring practices are deceptive to the point of potentially illegal. They advertised for a position and I was offered the job, but was advised that all new starters had the title of 'Office Admin'. When I arrived, I was taken to a completely different department to the one that I had applied for (and accepted the job on that basis), and told that I was actually going to be working in sales administration, processing payments! I had turned down other job opportunities to start this position, so of course I was extremely annoyed. When I spoke with other people who worked there, they said that that was common practice and that almost all of them had had the same experience. One new starter thought she was going to be working in design, and was also put on sales admin! There is also no equality of pay - people doing the same jobs were on completely different salaries. I also saw illegal practices going on here, including the company keeping records of customers' payment information, which is against GDPR. I left as soon as I received my first paycheck as I did not want to be in any way involved with such a company. Avoid at all costs!
