Pros

Working for Black women across the globe, you meet so many great women who truly believe in and work the mission. All virtual workspace

Cons

The co-founders are just straight-up mean. As someone else said they're visionaries and inspirational online. They don't trust their staff but expect staff and micromanage. Even when you do what they want, they're never satisfied. Let's not talk about surprise attack feedback which is just really intense lectures about your failures - although they'll root for you throughout the year. Very passive-aggressive. Most of the staff worked in fear of their jobs and become engaged in a mean girl environment, just to win favor with the founders or appear inspirational. The board should really investigate why they have such a high turnover rate.

Pros

Salary and benefits are top-tier. Opportunities to learn and grow are abundant—the ability to work directly with the co-founders and other C-suite leadership to develop the organization. Important health, wellness, and community-centric mission.

Cons

No real cons to speak of.

Pros

Remote work and winter sabbatical (depending on your role)

Cons

Micromanaging, belittling staff, don’t practice what they preach to the outside world. They don’t care about the mental health of the staff. They don’t pay what you deserve but love to say “they pay the most competitive salaries”. If you have your own ideas and want a job where you can actually do the work you were paid to do, this is not the job. They want “yes” people who will do whatever they say and when they don’t get the results they like, they’re upset.
