Pros
Work from home Mondays and Fridays (although leadership has mentioned wanting to remove it because they truly believe employees are not working during those days)
Cons
Some workplaces teach you skills. Others teach you how much you’re willing to endure. Writing this review isn’t easy because my experience here affected me both professionally and personally. By the time I left, I was emotionally exhausted and constantly anxious about going to work. Most mornings I woke up thinking, is today the day I get fired? Sadly, that fear wasn’t irrational. I watched it happen to a lot of people around me. Turnover was extremely high because people were often fired suddenly, and it created a constant feeling of uncertainty in the office. Workloads also felt very uneven. Many employees were overwhelmed trying to keep up with heavy responsibilities, while some family members working at the company appeared to have much lighter workloads. It was discouraging to see personal activities from family members scheduled on the company calendar during work hours while others were struggling just to keep up. The pressure never really stopped. Employees were expected to take on more and more work without additional support. At one point there was even a 10% company wide pay cut, which was incredibly discouraging, especially in today’s economy. Many employees were already under significant stress, so this decision affected people both financially and emotionally, especially while leadership continued expecting everyone to work even harder during that time. Conflicts between leadership sometimes played out openly with raised voices, slammed doors, and an atmosphere that made people feel uncomfortable. There were also moments when inappropriate comments were made that felt insensitive, including remarks that came across as racially insensitive. What makes this harder to say is that coworkers were never the problem. Many of them were hardworking, supportive people who genuinely cared about doing their jobs well. Unfortunately, the leadership culture made it very difficult for people to feel valued or secure. Looking back, I realize how much this job affected my mental health. I left feeling drained, discouraged, and constantly on edge. The most difficult part wasn’t leaving the job..it was realizing how much it had already taken from me.
