Pros
Extremely competitive rates for an European animation studio. Great shows, great IT team and great management They care about work efficiency and overall employee happiness. Talking with artists who have worked there for 3-5 years, the consensus seems to be that things improve from production to production. Unlike most studios, they seem to actively make a good effort to keep people in Helsinki informed of what's happening next and whether they are staying on the next production. You'll find many people who moved to Helsinki and have been able to work there for years and years. Which to me is always a great sign of a good studio.
Cons
Just my opinion. Storyboard artists aren't given much time and are incentivized to focus 100% of their time on composition and acting. It makes their reel and presentations to the client look great but many things are ignored such as scale, perspective, matching location, continuity, and proper staging. As it happens in many pre school shows, budget constraints on the show I was on demanded far too much location reuse.
