Pros

I love start-ups, however, I LOVE working at this one in particular. There is a level of professionalism and thoughtfulness throughout the company regardless of the location. There is the right balance of EQ and IQ (though there is a lot of IQ around here!). I'm surrounded by a high level of intellence, collaboration, autonomy, and respect every day. I love my weekend time to unwind, however knowing that I get to be part of the building process from the ground up with awesome people makes Monday's that much easier to wake up to. If you're looking for a place where you can truly feel the impact of the value you bring to the table and prefer a fast-paced environment than this is the place for you.

Cons

Like any start-up, there are aggressive goals. However, these goals are understandable because I believe in our mission. With that being said, work-life-balance can be thrown off a little, but that's start-up life for the successful ones. I love what I do, I enjoy who I work with and don't mind putting in the extra time when it's needed.

Pros

Global-scale ambitions. The personnel (seasoned and fresh out of school), the ideas, the tech, and the will to achieve. Progress in one year: we actually did what we said we were going to. Growth of the team and capabilities to advance our goals. Everyone "throws in" to get to the next level, whether they thought they were "good at that" (whatever there was to be done) already or no. Great team spirit and good humor. Working in person, w/ masks and the needful steps, because we are physically building the new robotic reality. There is no substitute for doing the truly new. Each office has the critical mass to have its own local culture within the whole. And it's evolving.

Cons

Standard early-stage startup risks and challenges. Be ready to check your doubts at the door and become an active part of the communal hallucination to realize what was previously only in science fiction, if you can handle that. Yes, constant problem solving occurs "hard," as learning and operating outside of your comfort zone is necessary to make these flaky components and recalcitrant software "dance," or someone else would already have shown >you< how it's done.
