Pros

The main reason I enjoy working at GettyImages is due to the positive work culture, great colleagues and interesting projects. I can really feel the commitment the company puts into Diversity and Inclusion by promoting different experiences, backgrounds and respect. Positive work culture includes the collaborative mindset, support and fun I get from my immediate teams and the company. Healthcare benefits are great, my professional development is top of mind, work / life balance is promoted and diversity, equity, and inclusion is top of mind for the whole company. I started working in a remote setting and I can honestly say that I feel like I am part of a team no matter where anyone I work with is located. I feel fulfilled in my role and have been able to grow as a mentor and promote research through the company. I have had the opportunity to help build out the team as well attend conferences, workshops and educational classes that promote my professional development goals. Projects are always discussed with me and I am able to discuss and take on the ones that would meet my needs due to interest and time.

Cons

I have experienced impactful professional development and opportunities within the Product team but I have heard through the grapevine that other departments don't have as many opportunities. I don't have many details on those departments but I do know professional development is a key area the company is improving on and is put in the forefront of each department and managers minds.

Thank you for sharing your feedback and thoughts. We strive to be the greatest place you will ever work and it is extremely positive to hear your perspective on our work culture, collaborative community of employees, and demonstration of our Leadership Principles. Professional growth and development is top of mind for many employees. As such, we have implemented quarterly check ins so that all employees have 4 formal opportunities to have discussions around growth outside of the informal 1:1s that occur throughout the year. Further, the HR team, in partnership with functional leaders is building career ladders and job descriptions for every team and function so that there is increased transparency around development. This will be introduced formally to the business in Q4 2022 / Q1 2023 and will build on our commitment for continuous opportunities for all employees. More to come and we look forward to you being a part of this journey! If you have any additional feedback that you wish to share, please reach out to me at carly.etzin@gettyimages.com. Thanks!

Cons

- can handle shifts/re-orgs poorly with communication, leaving employees feeling unheard and unvalued.

Pros

WFH, good overall culture. Good people.

Cons

Leadership has been slow to stay current and modern in the workplace. The business is straddled with debt from a pervious investment company that had bought Getty and gutted it. Future is uncertain.
