Pros
Colleagues on the whole were friendly and welcoming despite the uncertain work environment in light of the company wide redundancies. If you speak Turkish, that’s a plus as you can understand conversations between Turkish colleagues in the office. The London office is a WeWork office so you get the perks that come with a WeWork building. At the time I worked here, the additional perks to the job were a 10% employee discount on the Getir app and optional health insurance.
Cons
There is an expectation of face time / bums on seats in the office for the benefit of senior management. I found that there was a lack of engagement between management and its employees. Given the start up/scale up nature, the pace of work is extremely fast and the business often expects same day turnaround in the completion of tasks. In my experience, the support from management and prospect of career progression opportunity was non existent. When I left the company, the experience I had was poor and my manager was very hands off with the process. My final salary was paid late with a vague non-answer as to why and it felt like the HR team were making up processes as they were going.
