Pros

They pay for your education.

Cons

This job is overwhelming. You’re expected to juggle multiple responsibilities with little support and low pay. I was constantly stressed, handling financial tasks on top of my actual duties, often taking on work that wasn’t even mine. The workload is heavy, and the compensation does not match the effort required. If you’re looking for a job with fair pay and a balanced workload, this isn’t it.

Pros

Great Research Environment, with multiple opportunities for collaboration. A great place overall for grad school!

Cons

Can be a bit competitive at times, but really depends on the lab / advisor you work with

Pros

- Free Housing - Meal Plan - One of the better on campus job for students in my opinion (still able to be involved in other activities as a student on campus)

Cons

- Duty part of the job (Being on call and getting late night lock outs but this is rare), and definitely can still do homework in between doing duty rounds - experience can also depend on your hall director / area (but regardless still served on great RA teams, can be great if you have a co-ra but also been good at time being a single RA on the floor (no need to coordinate schedule if you do events together as a single RA unless you alternate events with your co)
