Pros

job itself was not difficult friendly co workers good safe stepping stone if you can bear the nonsense health plan pretty good grocery industry stable

Cons

this is from a non-union perspective: Work itself: Job was so bogged down by inefficiencies , did not do as much job title tasks and did not do job description different rules for different departments little to no admin support despite being promised (could not /did not hire) Upper management: terrible HR attitudes (worse than other places) head lady there has no sense of being a decent human Out of touch higher exec management team who tries way too hard to relate to younger customers but also does not invest in younger perspectives boys club at upper exec level and no upwards movement unless someone retires lots of incompetent upper/middle management who don't understand the system and operations keeps bringing back retired employees because they failed to train replacements Pay: gives an insulting cost of living increase despite record breaking revenue for the grocery industry thinks pizza/store sandwiches is a good substitute despite inflation thinks tea and coffee is a perk of the job offers low and non-competitive, non-livable salaries. no pension unless you were there years ago Hybrid WFH is going out the window due to upper management attitudes remember that the owner is a billionaire! Other: on the road to outsourcing labour from third parties company does not invest in resources to compete in the long term head office has lots of crow excrement and flooding risk when it does happen management drags feet in sending people home does not invest in improving only cares about being a cash flow for the louie family only cares about bottom line, as most basic companies would. Don't be fooled by the facetious office morale activities
