Pros
The company invests heavily in personnel development, giving employees the tools needed to be successful at their respective positions. As such, management is high on promoting from within. This encourages employees to push themselves, knowing their is room for growth within the company, if the employees goal is to grow within the company. I’ve held various positions within the organization that were all very different in their nature. I’ve always been given the tools and support, that have allowed me to venture into new roles that are completely different than my previously held positions, knowing that the company would not allow me to fail as long as I made the effort necessary to succeed. In my different ventures within the company, I’ve always received the support and guidance needed to allow me to develop and grow as a professional. That is one of the reasons why such a large portion or the employee base have long tenure. This, in turn, creates an atmosphere that feels a lot like family, that people enjoy being a part of. Upper management team make themselves accessible to all employees, more so than at any other company I’ve been a part of. I’m my experience, every time I’ve been interested in applying for a different position, I’ve felt comfortable enough to express my interests not only to my directing manager, but the president of the company and the head of the business unit, alike. Like a family, the company supports you in times of need, emotionally and even financially in some cases. The pay is definitely competitive within the market. The benefits are great. Best company I’ve ever worked for.
Cons
The company is a global corporation represent in at least 5 continents, and with that you do have a lot of reporting to the corporate office in Switzerland. Many things require corporate approval which is typically not a fast process.
