Pros
The front line workers are there for the patients which is very wholesome, patients see this and their reviews reflect it, yet they see managements input trickle down. Management is a different story.
Cons
The workplace is always understaffed, but not by their model. Resulting in employees being overworked and stretched across multiple responsibilities, resulting in burnout and a revolving door of staff. Replacement staff are always newly qualified and in this field experience does matter, when we are dealing with peoples lives. Opportunities for progression and recognition is very limited, particularly for staff who are not part of specific established social circlr across all faculties which is disspointing . While the organisation promotes its five core values and emphasises a patient-centred approach, there is a disconnect between these stated principles and the day-to-day experience of staff. Greater consistency between organisational values, leadership behaviours, staff support, and resource allocation would help foster a more positive workplace culture and ultimately benefit both employees and patients.
