Pros

Flexible hours, relaxed work environment, lots of free food, regularly scheduled "fun" days, just to name a few. As an intern you're given a lot of responsibility and are usually unsupervised. Because it's such a small company, you really have to pull your own weight- but if you do, it's super rewarding and you'll learn a lot.

Cons

Everything's really messy, but that's kind of to be expected. Can't think of any real cons to working here. .

Cons

Abusive boss who only hires people he sees as desperate. For instance there are no employees over the age of 25 who aren't on a visa. If you walk into his company, you'll see that most employees are either fresh out of college and need the money bad or they're from a different country where he is handling their working visas. Essentially, this boss obsessed with absolute power over his employees. Boss Micromanages his engineers, expects them to report to him in "2 hours or less". Will say insulting things to employees like "You're not a good engineer" or "Another company would never hire you". This summer alone he's fired 4 different interns. The turnover rate for this company is astronomically high. (Longest known term of employment is 3 years). When you try to quit he will tell you that you are not ready to move on to another company and will try to manipulate you into staying. Absolutely no chance for upward mobility since he refuses to hire a manager. Essentially you are there to service him for 2 years and then leave. Tries to keep younger and more desperate engineers so that he doesn't have to pay anyone about $70,000 a year.
