Cons
NEPOTISM - Everyone is related to everyone, or are in-laws, friends, etc. There are no repercussions if they make grave mistakes, but if you do...
REVOLVING DOOR OF EMPLOYEES - High turnover of employees. This is a big red flag. They do not care about you. It's very clear they are all about money and have zero passion for the industry they are in. They openly treat people like they're stupid and lesser than. Therefore, there is very low morale in the office. People are bitter and depressed.
POOR/NO COMMUNICATION - departments are literally next door or between floors, but no one talks or communicates verbally or through email. Information is withheld that is vital to getting your job done efficiently and on time.
UNPROFESSIONAL - Personal information is shared and gossiped over which is ILLEGAL. Anything you discuss with HR is not private if your manager/director is also present at the meeting. Laws have been broken, anything to save a buck. Sexist and racist comments have been made by upper management. Maturity, tactfulness and professionalism is non-existent. You are working with children who throw tantrums when they can't get their way.
FALSE ADVERTISEMENT - When I applied to this job, they said they had 401k. They do not and never will.
UNREALISTIC DEADLINES - Your workload is absurdly high, there's not enough resources/people to meet workload. Due dates are changed frequently without your knowledge, there are dozens of revisions because everyone has an opinion. You will be blamed if you don't meet the deadlines. You're set up for failure from the very beginning. They are not understanding nor do they take responsibility for what happens. It's your fault, period.
UNDER-QUALIFIED MANAGEMENT - Upper management believes they are experts on everything from marketing, social media, beauty industry and design. They are clueless and do nothing to research the industry's current trends. Abysmal leadership. They never congratulate or compliment you for a job well done unless if it's Christmas and that's what is expected. Upper management does not understand the current trends are digital marketing. They are stuck in the past and refuse to learn and listen. Your director/manager will nitpick and bully you. Nothing is ever good enough.
NO RAISES/PROMOTION - Don't expect to get anywhere. You are hired for a specific position and there you will stay with no raise. You are a grunt to be used and abused.
