Pros
The only pros for this job are the pay ($25/hour) and the coworkers. Everyone I met there (except for the owner, David) was very friendly and helpful. Robert, the office manager, is especially amazing - he was the only reason I made it as long at this place as I did. He trained me and did 3 jobs in one; David truly does not deserve him.
Cons
The biggest con about this job is David Gauntlett himself. Please, for the love of God, listen to the previous negative reviews, they are not hyperbole! Many positions at the firm have been eliminated in recent years and as a result there is basically no support staff, except for the office manager and the Litigation Assistant position. As a result, he will ask you to do all sorts of random tasks that he knows you are not qualified to do (for example, SEO maximization) then berate and belittle you for not knowing how to do them. This is the worst thing about David: his lack of respect for his employees. He regularly mocks and browbeats his support staff and associate attorneys, even in firm-wide meetings. He has a lot of bizarre idiosyncrasies that take a while to get used to, but I assure you he has absolutely zero patience for mistakes while you are still learning. David is an extreme micromanager. He will email and call you constantly, even when he is on vacation, and demands a detailed itemized list of everything you plan on doing that day and everything you accomplish at the end of the day. If any of this sounds like it would get old, I promise it does - very quickly.
