Experience working with a high-volume, court-mandated residential population strengthened crisis management and documentation skills. Access to LCDC internship hours and exposure to structured programming was valuable for professional growth. Benefits were generally solid, including health insurance options and employee assistance resources.

Caseloads were frequently excessive and not consistently manageable, especially during periods of staff turnover. Rapid and ongoing procedural changes created inconsistency in clinical expectations and workflow. The treatment environment was often not conducive to consistent client learning or achievement of treatment objectives due to variability in structure and accountability across staff. Medical and ancillary services involved long wait times and limited interventions, which contributed to client frustration and facility-wide tension.
