Pros

Before applying to work at Gateley, I spoke to a close friend of mine who also works at Gateley, and she gave glowing recommendations. I applied to work in Gateley's Real Estate Dispute Resolution team in Birmingham. Although I am three years qualified, my experience consisted of insurance litigation, and I would be joining a team with very little knowledge of the area. The REDR team deals with nearly all aspects of property litigation. Therefore, the work is diverse and challenging at times. I was initially worried that I would not get to grips with the work, but I found my colleagues helpful and provided me with the necessary support. Dawn Reynolds, the head of the REDR team, is knowledgeable, kind and always on the ball. She is very approachable, and I am over the moon working alongside her and learning from one of the best in the field. My Gateley colleagues are friendly and supportive. They make Gateley a great place to work. Gateley offers many perks, including share schemes, medical insurance, flexible working etc. The training programmes they currently have for their junior and experienced lawyers are like nothing I've seen or experienced. I have a great work-life balance and recommend Gateley to anyone looking to work with a firm that appreciates its staff and who are forward thinking.

Employee wellbeing is important to us and in line with our responsible business ethos, we encourage work life balance, however, we can appreciate there may be occasions where there may be a requirement to work additional hours and would always encourage employees to speak to their manager should there be any concerns.
