Pros
Staff are friendly for the most part. It has a feeling of family and everyone knows everyone. Senior Administrative management is hands on and approachable. They really have the desire to make the hospital a better place and to service their community. Nurses are nice and do their best as they are overworked. Great place to come if you are ethnic-Asian, Hispanic as you will have staff reflecting your ethnicity and language skills. The cafe also serves Asian cuisine that is above average for your typical hospital. The only hospital around that will hire RNs with no experience. Great place to get experience because the caseload is varied and intense at times and you're in a fast-pased center.
Cons
Physicians-many are a little too focused on monetary gain and forget the mores of why they entered the helping profession. Some will will refuse to treat you or offer you subpar service if you lack the high yield insurances such as private or Medicare. There have been complaints that a few will even order unnecessary tests to bill insurance. Psychiatrists are not good at treating patients with psychiatric diagnoses. The hospital in general is weak in mental health.
