There are few pros to this job. During the on-season, you can rack up considerable hours if you have open availability. Employee meals are also cheap and very good. Chef Jamie makes great food. Some of the staff can be fun to work with, and the members are almost always friendly and interested in learning about you. This is what keeps most staff on for so long.

The negatives outweigh any positives to working for this company. They will work you into the ground. Servers work 12 to 14 hour shifts, usually overnight, with one 15 minute break, sometimes a second one but only if it is not busy. The functions are highly detailed, so you will often miss something and be berated for it. Management is a little clique and does not take employee concerns seriously, making it difficult to enjoy the workplace. Servers are not allowed to take much time off during the on season, so do not expect to enjoy any weekends during the summer time. It is very hard to advance or get more hours in other areas of the club, as management does not care or take your concerns seriously outside of seasonal functions. Expect to work late, sometimes leaving at 4am and being back into work for 10am. They do not care about your wellbeing as a person but only keeping people working. You will be paid above minimum, but you do not get tips. In the rare occurance your open bar gets tips, you arent taking home more than a few dollars. Uniforms are also unpaid and will be docked from your check. They are very picky about how you look. They try to run a fake atmosphere of elegance around this club but it very much is run down and is not worth the high membership fees.
