Pros
Respectful and team-oriented co-workers, sports/ortho highly motivated patient population, some documentation time. They have good standards for hiring. Monthly meetings, inservices, and chart reviews are a good way to learn new things, get feedback, and improve. Mentoring is structured into your schedule when you first start there, regardless of experience level so you can have assistance with treatment, documentation, etc as needed at the beginning. Convenient locations for many people. In general the patients who come to these clinics have a good opinion of them. The therapists are all clearly very dedicated to patient care and therefore, the patients generally have a good experience and good outcomes.
Cons
Management is no longer present in the office due to COVID, so nobody is in charge and management is harder to get in contact with and sometimes doesn't respond without multiple attempts. Support staff are all extremely intelligent and eager, but are clearly undervalued as they basically keep the place running. When they are ill or late, things start to fall apart. Lots of pressure to see patients x number of times per week for x weeks, with the average expected number of visits per case extremely high. Pressure to bill x number of units all the time in every case. Employees are subtly discouraged from taking PTO, but co-workers are very supportive and are often willing to cover.
