The Indian office is good only for Carrer starters or Retired Engineers - Piping Stress Engineer GS Engineering & Construction Employee Review

Pros

1. 5 day work ( ie when there is no work-load). 2. The Indian office serves much as a back-office for the taxing repetitive work for its parent Korean office(like proposals & less critical parts of a whole plant). This implies that mistakes in work, if any, are not of critical nature and hence accommodated to a larger extent. 3. Carrer starters can be promised to have more job exposure than most other Indian EPC companies. The whole point of GSI is for reduced cost operation and giving as much work to Juniors do allow them to get wide exposure.

Cons

1. Salary is lower than the market for most people. 2. No site exposure. 3. No vendor Exposure. 4.Very less inter-departmental co-ordination and hence repeat work is immense.

Pros

Good salary with no delay

Cons

- Very long working hours, Forced to spend a lot of time for nothing. - No handover of data was available. - No personal life. - No mentor to give an advise. - Medical insurance was not full insurance ! - Senior management experience is same like the seniors and engineers so no way to solve any problem via GS, you have to ask the subcontractor for anything whom is said to be monitored by you !!
