Pros
There are no pros to this job anymore. Some people are joking that GEO stands for Get Everyone Out and I'm beginning to think they're correct.
Cons
Everything, management doesn't have anyone's back. They will make your life as miserable as they can. Overtime is forced, and if you don't comply they will write you up until they can fire you. Supervisors get away with just about anything they want including chasing people they don't like out the door or harassing people to the point of having to change shifts. We have to work in unsafe conditions very understaffed and upper "management" do nothing to fix the problem, other than to try to force already burned out staff to work even more overtime. Forget applying here if you have kids, there is absolutely no home/work life balance unless you go on overtime restriction which is hard to do because they will fight tooth and nail to get it denied from corporate. The benefits are terrible, they're very expensive for mediocre coverage at best. Just don't apply here, love yourself more than that. Maybe not all facilities are this bad, but the New Castle Indiana one is, and it's sad to see a job I've loved so much be completely ruined by terrible supervisors.
