Pros
GEEIQ has a genuinely fantastic culture, shaped both by the founders and senior leadership, as well as the team across the company. It is one of the most collaborative and supportive environments I have worked in. Everyone is willing to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in, regardless of seniority, which creates a strong sense of shared ownership.
There are also some incredibly smart people here, and I find myself learning from colleagues almost every day. It is an ambitious team, but also a very down-to-earth one.
The culture is not just something that gets talked about, it is something the company actively creates space for. There are regular team activities like pub quizzes, group meals, and weekly trips to the pub that people across the company, including senior leadership, join. Importantly, many of these happen during working hours, which means people can take part without feeling like they need to sacrifice personal time. It creates a genuinely social and inclusive environment rather than something that feels forced.
Cons
Employee benefits could be stronger compared with more established companies, and this is probably the main area where the company could improve.
That said, the business still has a startup mindset where everyone is focused on building something together. People are trusted to get on with their work, take ownership, and make decisions, which for many people is a big part of what makes the environment enjoyable.
