I saw the dark side of this company and now I can’t go back - Senior Architect GE HealthCare Employee Review

Pros

Permissive leave (if you can use it) and subsequent fully paid FMLA

Cons

There’s a scary side of GE that no one is putting on paper here where other employees can anonymously report you for anything. These investigations almost always result in punitive action with or without basis. The legal team might just decide they don’t like you and terminate you for that reason. But that’s wrongful termination you say!? Doesn’t matter. You signed your rights to sue the company away when you agreed to be an employee. That coupled with the expectation that you will “bleed for GE” and then be fired for making a mess…it’s not the glorious place a lot of these reviews make it out to be. It’s very cutthroat and slow to innovate. Leadership in the modalities turns over constantly and then changes NPI tactics dramatically. One day, youll find out that your best friend had a target on your back to get your leadership role. That happens too often. Don’t forget that when you sign on, you’ll be a 9 digit number. And if your number is up when you’re on your honeymoon, they will literally call you to RIF you out right then.
