Pros

Since the change over in management G.network has gone from bad to worse. I am finding it hard to list any pros as the ones that used to be have now been taken away.

Cons

G.net has three divisions at the moment which are CEO and his BT compadre (who he brought in) This group are here to stay and take over from all the valued long service managers who will soon be made redundant. Then you have the managers and supervisors who are stuck in limbo. They have to deal with employese who are being made redundant, they don't get any clarity from upper management on where the company will be in the near future. They know they are next on the chopping block. Then the staff who are expected to work harder then ever and if they don't they are being threatened with gross misconduct and pay deductions, with knowing that they have been made redundant and only have 2/3 weeks left before getting the boot.

Pros

Flexible with working arrangements. Direct manager and team are great to work with.

Cons

When I joined the company was vibrant and engaging, all of that has been gutted to create a soul destroying shell of a company. I have witnessed two painful periods of redundancy where poor business planning has caused a direct impact on people’s personal lives which has been extremely disheartening. There has been a recent lack of even pretending to care about any sort of personal growth or progression within the company. The post you apply for is the one you will stay at. Systems and processes completely fly in the face of any generic mental health awareness posted in the company portal and weekly updates. The tools in which we rely on to do our basic day to day jobs lack the adequate support and funding to even be useful. Processes are non existent and some teams simply lack the ability to discuss solutions within themselves. There is a culture of spinelessness within the company because any concerns raised are ignored or suppressed meaning people eventually lose any will to fight or stand up for something they disagree with or just to have an honest discussion. The lack of even addressing the fact there is no yearly wage increase is deeply troubling. Everyone is effectively worse off year on year.
