Pros

The only pro I can think of is that they have contracts with the USACE. These contracts are excelent resume builders but they get these contracts becuase of their 8a status. They were literally given these contracts becuase the government had to. I have seen many of them fail miserably due terrible project management techniques.

Cons

Where do I start: 1. They hire very inexperienced people to fill roles that require a lot of experience. This allowed them to pay their employees well below BLS standard for the positions. Many of the people I worked with should not have been given the roles they were given. This company is run by a group of people from India. I was required on several occassions to explain what my employees and/or bosses were saying to my client becuase their english was so broken. 2. They provide no backup or support. You are an island. I was literally told on more than one occassion that I needed to work a miracle. 3. In my time there they Bid on anything that crossed their path and underbid most of the time making for a failed project right from the start. 4. Zero company structure. A project was awarded and immediately thrown at a project manager. There was no PM software, templates, SOPs, etc. 5. If you didnt succeed at every project, even the ones that were doomed to failure from the start, you were fired. I saw this happen to at least three very good employees while I was there. This was their way of solving the problem when the USACE asked why the project was failing. 6. Mistreatment of employees. Example: One emplyee was asked to sleep in the local office to save money on travel expenses. When he did, he was told he would not recieve the per diem they promised him for that day since he stayed in the office. Substandard sallaries. Durring my time there a PM would make 65-85k a year according to the Bureau of Labor and Statiscs. I made 60k but I knew of several PMs that mad between 40 and 50k. This company preys on the Detroit job market. Knowing that people need jobs and deliberately undercutting them. I was told on several occassions that I was lucky to have a job at all. Toward the end they stopped paying for travel expenses for some people.

Pros

Good Jump Start for any career, also very flexible and positive work environment. Each team member gets treated equally with respect. CEO/President of the company greets everyone personally by visiting them every morning (literally he spends time with each employee and asks for their opinions). The leadership of this company is very helpful, and they are always available and willing to do whatever is needed to help you in your career and personal growth. If you want to get the most out of the job you have to strive, and grab the opportunity as their lot of room to shine.

Cons

Management is little laid back, just to provide comfort and support to their employees. Like anywhere else, when times get busy it can be little stressful but management picks up and does their best to boost morale.
