Pros
A truly nonpartisan nonprofit with an excellent mission and an excellent CEO. With a "small but mighty" team of ~15 full-time staff members, employees are given ownership of programs/projects and ample opportunities for advancement. Hybrid work environment allows for a mixture of remote and in-person work, and staff represent a cross-section of political ideologies and backgrounds. Unlimited vacation and generous leave policies is something that employees enjoy and leadership encourages, and commitment to professional development means that employees are encouraged to work with coaches, participate in career trainings, and grow their skill sets.
Cons
Still relatively small with an annual budget of between $3-4 million. Experienced a lot of staff turnover during and immediately following the pandemic, but recent hires have been with the organization for 1+ years, and the org is poised to grow considerably in 2024 and beyond.
