Thank you for taking the time to review Fupay on Glassdoor. One of our core values at Fupay is to super-spread optimism. What we do is really hard, and to overcome this, we must all embody a can-do attitude. Your feedback of “very ridiculous ways of managing” is unfortunate given we have a bunch of respect for our leaders, who add a lot of value and all lead with a can-do attitude in pursuit of our mission. Each leader certainly has different ways of managing their teams, unique to their department and their tasks at hand. This diversity helps to outsmart the impossible, another value of ours to achieve our goals. We are increasing our internal communications across departments to further enhance our capability, plus we are doing more surveys during both onboarding and offboarding to continually focus on a people-first culture. Thanks again for your feedback. I apologise for letting you down and am always available for a chat if you would like to reflect further on your experience at Fupay. Regards, Janine Davison GM HR @ Fupay

Pros

Reasonable salary. Modern tech stack with interesting projects. People generally nice.

Cons

Runs and feels more like a corporate than a start-up which is OK unless you've worked for a start-up before and are expecting a similar environment. May feel innovative/start-up like for those who are coming from a more corporate environment though. Lack of employee perks/incentives beyond salary which is unusual in a tech 'start-up' (particularly in what was, and especially is now, a competitive hiring environment). Doesn't handle employee off-boarding well - often employees leave unannounced which doesn't make for a very nice environment, high-employee turnover too. Often projects would focus on new features rather than fixing reported problems from users - google and android reviews poor but limited attention given - not unusual given the stage of the company but still tricky for motivation. There was at the time conflict between newer staff (who have since left) and older staff (who had been with the company for a while) - perception was that the older staff were held to different standards.
