There is noticeable favoritism and office politics within the team. Opportunities are often given only to individuals who have been long-time friends with the QA Manager, leaving others overlooked regardless of their contributions. The QA Manager lacks team management and motivational skills, and tends to highlight only the performance of close associates. In one instance, I delivered an out-of-the-box implementation, but the credit was given to one of his friends, who was chosen to present it to management despite not being the actual contributor.
