Pros

Full Beaker has made tremendous strides in the past few years to give employees the tools they need to grow. When I express areas of interest for career development, my manager listens and finds opportunities for me to develop in those areas. Additionally, we have a new system in place that creates personalized "professional development plans" for all employees that offer LinkedIn Learning courses and other online tools to aid in development. Full Beaker is a company that values quality of work over obsession with work. Employees are encouraged to have hobbies outside of work, and those interests will often be shared in unique slack channels. The culture is one that celebrates both company wins and individual's life wins as a group. Work-life balance is great and co-workers are kind.

Cons

It's a small company that has its eyes set on growing, so we're currently putting tons of new systems in place for performance reviews, HR procedures, data analytics, etc. In the long run these systems will be great, but in the short term everyone is working on adjusting. No one will be micromanaging your time, so you must be a self starter and self motivated. For some this is a plus, but it's important for people to be aware of this when deciding to work at Full Beaker.

Pros

I'd definitely recommend working here. I stayed three years and only left to move into a different career path. Pros: - Excellent workplace culture with wonderful coworkers - Competitive salary - Autonomy and no micro-management - Lots of room for growth and felt rewarded for effort and wins - Really respected the leadership team; felt like they had smart business priorities and truly kept employees' best interests in mind

Cons

- High-achieving culture can be stressful; there's always a lot to get done and it can be difficult to prioritize/keep up at times - Autonomy in most roles means you need to be self-motivated - Lots of accountability and visibility in many roles; you definitely can't just skate by

Pros

I've worked at Full Beaker for a while now and I can honestly say it's one of my favorite places I've had the opportunity to work at. There have been a few negative reviews recently, and while everyone is entitled to their own perspective, those views don’t fit with how I see Full Beaker at all. As with any organization, with growth comes change. Some former team members were not on board with some of the changes and they left, so I would take the recent reviews with a HUGE grain of salt as I don’t think they represent the views of the people you’ll be working with if you join Full Beaker. It really is a great place to work. Some pros in my book include: An ability to move your ideas to reality and make a difference in a company Moves quickly with no bureaucracy Smart, and cool co-workers Fully stocked kitchen Fun quarterly events Free lunches Ability to make a difference Great work/life balance Startup feel

Cons

The work from home policy is a bit outdated. That being said I've never had an issue when I needed to work from home. Startups aren't for everyone.
