Pros

Looks great on your resume

Cons

Working beyond full time for less than part time pay All problems are addressed with "that's not something we can help you with" Forced to pay ridiculous prices for housing and scooters Forced to live with other Americans Nobody actually wants to be there to be there, they're just privileged white kids who know it will look good on their resume No work permit or labor law protection Work over 50 hours/week, additional wold be pay (US$20/hour) always becomes volunteer work "because you're not here to make a profit" All "cross cultural activities" have you surrounded by other Americans/locals don't come near you The students think you're a fun and exotic object, not a person The schools don't care if you're happy or not, they just want a white person to have in their photos No accountability--you can be the worst employee ever and get awards, you can work your butt off and nobody cares Lots of American businesss don't actually know/care what Fulbright is
