Typical - Anonymous employee Frieze Employee Review

A lot of managers and directors but no leaders. They rest on the strength and privacy of the art world so it ends up serving only the rich. Employees are worked to the bone but not paid accordingly (standard for the arts) and don't even try to find anyone of color, especially Black. When I brought it up to an executive in 2018 I was told "We're an arts organization in London, there just aren't that many Black people to choose from here". Not only that, there's no desire.
