Campus is big and beautiful

There is no cafeteria on campus.

I loved the students at Friends Academy, and the teachers and coworkers were fantastic—dedicated, passionate, and supportive.

While Friends Academy has a beautiful campus and a strong sense of community, there are several challenges that prospective employees and families should be aware of. Leadership can be inconsistent, with decisions sometimes feeling arbitrary or lacking clear communication. This can make it difficult for staff to feel supported and for families to navigate school policies effectively. Additionally, while the school promotes a nurturing environment, there are moments when behavioral issues are not adequately addressed, leading to disruptions in the classroom. At times, there seems to be more emphasis on maintaining appearances rather than tackling internal concerns head-on. For prospective employees, workload expectations can be high, and resources may not always be readily available to support faculty and staff in the ways needed. If you're considering a position here, be sure to ask detailed questions about expectations and support systems in place. Friends Academy has great potential, but improvements in leadership consistency, communication, and follow-through on school values would make a significant difference.
