Pros

Great colleagues, international and young team with sustainable beliefs and a lot of energy to develop the company.

Cons

For the entire year I worked there I saw around 21 employees leave the company, either by being fired because they "didn't meet the criteria" or due to the amount of stress and unprofessional behaviour of management. Every week I either suffered or witnessed work harassment. I saw three of my colleagues being yelled at by leadership, as if it were a parent telling of a 3-years old child. I saw my two bosses being fired accused of stealing information from the company and had to experienced how leadership libelled them in front of all the company. More than once me and some of my colleagues were discriminated for not being "Northen Europeans". There is a lot of micro-management, little trust and a lot of pressure. Every single thing had to go through leadership (do not mistake with management) to be approved, otherwise we risked that all our efforts would be squandered by leadership's comments and views on everything. There was not a single day where they didn't make me feel disposable and unvalued. Very self-centered leadership, with zero commitment towards their employees, but expecting every single one of them to burn themselves out for their company. The excuse that it was still a start-up was used to justify everything, from our low salaries, to goign against the core values of the company (sustainable development). Very low salary for the amount of responsibilities and when compared to the standards of the Danish labour market.

Thank you for taking your time to share your feedback. Unfortunately, the purpose is clearly not to give feedback, but to try to portray the company as inhumane, with ungrounded and untruthful accusations, for the sole purpose of harming Fresh.Land's excellent reputation. These accusations have no basis. They originate from a group of disgruntled employees who were summarily dismissed due to illoyal and amoral behaviour, which we do not tolerate in Fresh.Land. Fresh.Land is committed to being a diverse and inclusive workplace. We have team members from 12 different nationalities and our leadership team consists of an equal amount of men and women, and our CEO is a female. Our recent APV results and monthly team barometers show a team that is thriving, regardless of nationality, age and gender. Best regards, Mathilde Jakobsen, CEO, Fresh.Land As a note: We are suspecting some of the reviews in here are fake and made as a coordinated attack on us, from some former disgruntled employees. However, we will respond to them and listen to their points.

Pros

The concept is interesting and the quality of the products is good. The employees are nice and are giving a lot of energy for the company.

Cons

Management is unfortunately very bad. Their communication is degrading at times, they are putting a lot of pressure on employees and are lacking social empathy. Throughout my whole employment period, there never developed any kind of trust in management. You are made feeling very replaceable and are seen only as a little part in achieving the companies goal, which is good sales numbers (long before social or environmental sustainability), but never feel like you are part of a common goal. Management would call at all times of the day and week and would expect you to always put work first without any acknowledgement of these extracurricular efforts. If you value open and and honest communication, this place is not for you. It is a quiet stressful environment with almost zero time given or interest shown for creating a safe and trusting company culture, employees' concerns or inputs.

Thank you for your response. We regret to see that your experience was not a positive one. Fresh.Land is in a hyper growth phase, with an intense work culture. We acknowledge that it is a challenging work environment. For those who have the drive for it, it offers a rewarding career, in which team members can grow, as fast as the company. Fresh.Land upholds a very direct and transparent culture. If there was any time you felt someone in the team didn't uphold that principle, be it a director, a manager, or an associate, we would love to hear your feedback (you can reach out to our AMR, People Manager, or myself directly), so we can continue developing and creating the environment that our current team members value. I'm sorry to hear that you felt management didn't show empathy and interest for your personal life. This is useful input, which we will revise with our leadership team. Covid has unfortunately limited our possibilities to socialise as a team and bonding with team member. We had team events that got canceled end of last year. Despite that, we have had Friday gatherings limited to the few people in office on each floor. We have hosted monthly Bingo Nights with prizes, where everyone connected from home through zoom. We have had celebrations, where we delivered cake and champagne home to team members in Sweden for delivering great results. We have been celebrating our latest "Global Startup of the Year" Award with a glass of champagne outdoor in our gardens. All these are example of great moments, which are opportunities to get to know each other on a more personal level and to cheer the great results we are achieving as a team. I'm sorry you felt management didn't give you enough attention and this is something we will pay more attention to in the future. If you have any specific feedback you would like to share, you are very welcome to reach out to me directly or to our AMR (Lisa). We would like to continue improving to realise our full potential. Best regards, Mathilde Jakobsen, CEO, Fresh.Land As a note: We are suspecting some of the reviews in here are fake and made as a coordinated attack on us, from some former disgruntled employees. However, we will respond to them and listen to their points. Fresh.Land has a high ethical standard, with no tolerance for immoral behaviour.
