Pros
Great benefits. Tiered health insurance, tuition reimbusement, upfront RN tuition,401K matching. Tons of opportunty for advancement. Plus you have the benefit of working with a great team. It's also one of the few healthcare jobs with no nights, no Sundays and Chritmas, Thanksgiving and New Year's day off. The president of my region started out as a technician, which speaks to the fact that the potential for advancement is limitless. The new center for leadership is a great place to build confidence. The Ultracare program really puts the patient first. It is also a highly gender neutral company with many great men and women in upper levels of management.
Cons
Demanding physically. Dialysis patients have high mortality rates. You need to be OK with losses. Some think the salary isn't enough, but I think they offer the tools to increase your salary, but you have to earn them yourself: They'll pay for education, they'll match your retirement, they pay for weight watcher, but always the employee has to take the initiative. The company is it's people and this job is truly what you make it.
