Pros

Paid training Paid producer license Experience selling insurance

Cons

Instead of focusing on opening more stores, buying more insurance agencies and advertisement. Freeway should focus on retaining their employees. The pay there sucks. You never get a pay raise. They tell you to sell more policies and additional products. I heard that now if a customer doesn’t sign then you don’t get paid for that policy which is very unfair. When you do a policy over the phone not everybody knows how to electronically sign, specially the elderly. Freeway is going to keep loosing employees that way. At the end of the year there’s no bonus or Christmas party. You get a $25 gift card if you’re lucky. They make you travel a lot to cover other stores because they are always understaffed. The insurance companies that Freeway has don’t pay out. No employee there has one of those companies as their insurance provider. All those companies have one star on Google. There’s only like one decent company that Freeway has.

Pros

my co workers and a small portion of the clients were the only good thing about this job

Cons

the pay structure. base pay VS commission, not base pay WITH commission like every other insurance agency. Additionally, you see AT MOST 12% of the 15% commission that Freeway gets from you selling a policy. And you see at most 23% of the broker fee that you charge your non standard clients. You are """encouraged""" (read: forced) to charge poor people down on their luck exorbitant broker fees, and make up some fake discount if they by some chance are not able to. But, of course, you get chewed out if you don't charge at least a 200 broker fee. Look at your gross income go up. Now think about how you wont see any of that money. Feels really good, doesn't it? Honestly, you could write a whole book on Freeway's faults. Not Good.
