Too much overtime, low-optimized pay (for the amount of hours you might potentially work), and likely difficulties moving up in seniority for certain locations/departments.
Most workers are great. However, there are lots of members doing senior-level tasks, yet aren't properly promoted to that level. While some of the senior members are true specialists, some definitely aren't fit for the accounts they are assigned to. There seems to be confusion as to identifying and compensating the truly skilled. I do have to say that so much has improved over the past few years but COVID-19 really hurt everyone in the events industry, Freeman no less. It was devastating to see and experience the lay offs.
