Pros

Working at FreeAgent has a great experience for me. No outbound calling to me is amazing. There are good inbound leads already to work with and many meetings are pre-set. I had never learned so much as quickly at another company. Such big support from marketing and the other leaders too is not something I was ever used to experiencing before. Even when very new it was welcome to contribute ideas and question things. Opinions from us who are working directly with customers are considered very valued here. I believe the CEO is very smart and he has succeeded before at creating a successful company. It feels like big things are soon going to be happening at this company.

Cons

It takes a long time to learn everything. They used to have fun events many times a year but not really anymore.

Pros

- Working at a start up you have the ability to wear many hats or climb quickly in your role or department. - Work cross-functionally with other teams to grow your knowledge & improve learning. - Interface with leaders & teams that you may have little to no communication with at bigger organizations.

Cons

- Employees are under appreciated at FreeAgent. A lot of the hard work done goes relatively unnoticed. Many people within the sales org had recently left (some having been at the company for 3+ years) and the CEO, along with other leadership never reached out to thank people for their contributions. - Similar to the point above, because employees were under appreciated, employees were also under paid (and the benefits weren't great either). - Organizational decisions were often made without the consultation of employees directly impacted. They also put new leaders in place who made changes without fully knowing the current process or the organization as a whole. Changes were often short-sighted and negatively impacted multiple departments. - Product enhancements often had little/no correlation with what customers/prospects were asking for or what would make the platform easier for internal team members to work with. Also, software updates would be pushed prematurely, before proper testing. - CEO showed favoritism for some departments or people within departments. It wasn't always related to hard work & performance.
