Pros

Made friends with customers and coworkers. Had a customer be a bit of a creep but my coworkers protected and rallied behind me. Training was pretty sufficient, and I had the opportunity to become a PIC offered a few times. Some PICs were wonderful, Lamont in particular.

Cons

Some customers suck but management was 98/100 times helpful and kind to me about it. Two hours at a time on your feet can suck. Rushes (midday & Sundays) get everyone hectic and stressed. My high performance wasn't particularly rewarded. High turnover, to be expected.

Pros

Job can be fun and interesting Always something new to learn Lots of personal fulfillment as a manager when things go right

Cons

Unsupportive upper management Toxic work culture, unpaid overtime is rewarded and even expected or forced, even to the tune of multiple weeks in a row with no days off when you are salaried. They claim to support work life balance but even the smallest effort to set boundaries is heavily punished. Not paid as much as we should be for everything we have to do and deal with
