Pros
Most of my colleagues were great. Most of the senior leadership is kind and empathetic with only a few departmental exceptions. The CEO is actually a pretty great person.
Cons
In 2019 Vista Equity Partners took over the board and all business decisions of the company. It was a mess. And worse - their playbook for success just did not work with the company's selling structure or style and it cost them each quarter (the company hasn't made an actual, non-adjusted budget goals since Q4 2018. Then in 2020, COVID hit, and Vista insisted they lay off 10% of the company and furlough another 17%. Promises were made to the latter that will never come to fruition. After telling everyone who was left that those furloughed would be fought for, the company prioritized a European acquisition (bringing on another 40 employees) and pushed the furloughed folks's return dates even further out. The company sells a product that could be useful to businesses who expect to have employees return to an office space in the future.... which doesn't seem to be as big of a market as it once was. Focused solely on corporate office space and hotels it seems their fate might be sealed with the future COVID is writing for the business and hospitality industries. The software they sell is antiquated, difficult to use, although it does have some cool features if you have a patient and deliberate IT team. Senior leadership in the marketing department is also lacking, posing an even bigger threat to the company's positioning during such a difficult time.
