Pros

Pros definitely include working with some of the most wonderful, talented people. The application and hiring process is very extensive, so only the best are hired and it shows. Everyone takes pride in their work and the company, and this is reflected to the guests who stay at the Four Seasons. The pay is competitive and benefits are pretty wonderful. If you are looking for a company that you want to set roots with, this is it... and it shows. Numerous people at my property have been there since it opened. Honestly, I love working here. I have worked for other hotel brands and this company goes above and beyond for their employees and guests.

Cons

My biggest frustration is that there is no room for growth. In my specific department, an employee isn't able to move up without someone leaving. Unless you are able/willing to relocate, the opportunities are scarce. There may be added responsibility, but the title and pay do not reflect that. Also, the guests can be some of the worst people to be around. Four Seasons (and most luxury hotels) create an environment where the word 'no' is never an option. With this in mind, demands and exceptions to the rule are seen multiple times everyday. As odd as it sounds, it is exhausting and taxing to ones spirit after a while. Especially during the holidays - those 6-day work weeks and long hours are bad enough, but throw pretentious/entitled guests demands into the mix and life can get pretty rough quickly.

Pros

Very friendly staff. Straightforward job with good pay. Overall an enjoyable job.

Cons

Inconsistent hours. Burnout can occur if you're looking for something easy. Other than that its pretty much exactly what you'd expect. Good job to have.

Pros

Great immediate management (up to department head), good travel benefits (although not as good as previous years), health insurance excellent. Travel benefits are nice when you can use them. Become better at what do you, but with an emotional cost.

Cons

Toooo profit heavy and want to please owners versus staff, worklife balance needs improvement although it's getting there. Pulse Survey results need to be taken more seriously by PC and not put on department heads and asssitant managers, need accountability on PC to action. Terrible employee meals, especially if not AM Monday through Friday. Poor corporate ELT team since post covid times.
