Pros
Good relationships with staff members and parents. Excellent opportunity to make a difference in countless lives.
Cons
The Foundation for Behavioral Resources is an unethical nightmare. This 501c3 organization serves as as a market for the owners other for-profit businesses, which charge exorbitant prices for the services they provide(lawn care, plumbing, snow plowing, etc.). This company pays minimum wage—not a penny more. Most staff have not seen a cost of living increase in years. Directors get paid $17/hour. There is a bonus program, but there is little transparency in accounting. Financial reports are usually 1-2 months behind. You can count on management to find an expense somewhere to adversely effect your bonus. Money appears and disappears at random, and it’s difficult to get a straight answer from anyone. There is a lot of turnover at the main office.
