Pros
The relationship developed with the students and other staff members was excellent. Almost daily reviews and feedback of instruction and teaching practices. Good benefits; i.e. medical, dental, eye.
Cons
Work life balance does not exist, they expect you to live and breathe whatever is going on in the school. If you are the only one certified in your subject area, they will require you to work Saturdays to tutor. They expect you to be at all school functions, regardless of other expectations and plans that you have outside of work. If you disagree with anything, they will automatically hold it against you; i.e. teacher reviews. You are expected to be able to be contacted outside of work until 10pm; you are required to give students your phone number and contact information. If you ever have any problems with parents, you are pretty much on your own. You are required to make all your own materials.
