Pros

Work from home, equipment provided. Mix of sync and async tasks for patients

Cons

I joined this company as a Nurse Practitioner in a fully remote telehealth role and left in under a year. On the surface, the opportunity seemed ideal—work from home, company-provided equipment, and support with multi-state licensing and credentialing. In hindsight, it should have been a red flag that it looked too good to be true. To be fair, the credentialing and licensing team worked extremely hard, and I do want to acknowledge their effort. However, the process itself was painfully slow and disorganized, taking far longer than expected and delaying meaningful clinical work. By the time everything was finally in place, it already felt like momentum had been lost. Training was also disappointing. The onboarding experience lacked clarity and practicality, and communication often felt more focused on sounding impressive than on actually teaching or supporting clinicians. Clear expectations, plain language, and real-world guidance were noticeably missing. Despite this, I consistently received positive feedback and was repeatedly told I was doing well. There were no warnings, no performance concerns communicated, and no indication that my role was at risk. Then, without explanation, I received a contract termination letter stating the company was “going in a different direction.” No feedback, no discussion, no transparency—just abrupt termination. This experience highlighted a lack of stability, communication, and respect for clinicians’ time and careers. If you are considering working here, especially in a remote NP role, I strongly recommend proceeding with caution and having a backup plan.

Pros

Good mission. Good colleagues who care about the mission. 100% remote. Good insurance and benefits.

Cons

Multiple rounds of layoffs that happen unannounced. The company loses intellectual capital with every layoff. The people left scramble to find where things are and try to create new systems without much support from leadership. The compounding fragmentation makes it hard to do good work. Obesity meds has been a tough market and the company leadership has been so myopic in their approach to winning, it neglects to support the team that'll get them there. The company discontinued DEI years ago and that doesn't seem aligned with the mission to address obesity.
