Pros

Product was good not anymore with constant changes and lack of understanding from the Product leadership...Earlier the platform was called DSM now it’s called Armor. No clue why these name changes are happening. Now they are talking about GenAI security when they don’t have any capabilities associated with AI. Recently, they launched security posture management called "Key Insight" to add to their primary platform Data Security Manager (DSM)...This release was a massive disaster for obvious reasons...a half-baked product with a weak go to market strategy and marketing tactics. Overall, after the initial Product Management team left, the newer folks hired over the last few years or so are just not upto standards and lack clarity and vision....

Cons

What defines the success of an organization? It’s definitely -the people. People in a company starts with its leadership, the C-Level. And that's exactly what's wrong with Fortanix...Let’s start with the Technology and product leadership- really doesn't have it to set a technological or product vision...no business acumen and poor collaboration. Sales leadership- Results been terrible since the new CRO took over. Has not achieved targets till date. Has brought in friends in geos like EMEA and NA who also have failed to deliver. Marketing- The new marketing leadership demonstrates a profound lack of understanding of effective product messaging and overall understanding of marketing tactics...More of a fractional AR/PR marketing leadership. Finally, the top- Uninspiring leadership with no idea about business and functions like sales, marketing etc…more suited for a mid-management technical role than an executive role… The best part about Fortanix is that they layoff performers in a highly unethical manner…Some folks who have been laid off were just exceptionally good employees. It’s a company that’s destined to sink.

However, our C-Suite remains deeply committed to the company’s continued growth and long-term success. While we strive to be as transparent as possible, there are often limitations due to legal and business considerations. We recognize that the restructuring impacted valued employees, and we took significant efforts to support them during their transition. We're committed to learning from this experience and doing better in the future. We're always looking for ways to improve our communication and support to the employees.
