Pros

Good people, for the most part.

Cons

Some folks had been with the company for years and had grown lazy. Upper management was in it for themselves.

Pros

The benefits package is very competitive. They promote within the company and seek individuals to grow personally. They have provided a diverse array of job opportunities for employees. The HR and IT departments are extremely fast and responsive, compared to other companies. Certain managers are very willing to work with you and are anxious to hear your career goals and aspirations. The people at Forest are generally good to be around and you can feel free to create friendships. The work environment is fairly good and most employees tend to work a strict schedule. Forest tries to instill camaraderie by providing parties at Christmas and weekly events.

Cons

Forest does not like to do exploration. Forest does not like to spend money on seismic data. Forest does not like to use the latest technology. The salaries at Forest are not competitive with the major integrated oil and gas companies. Forest has a very old population. The mentoring at Forest is not very well suited for relatively unexperienced employees. While most employees run a strict work schedule there are many who insist on staying in the office for at least 12 hours a day. These people tend to look down upon others who don't follow the same schedule. There are only a handful of managers who genuinely look after their employees and are open to conversation/mentoring at any time.
