The CEO of this company is one of the worst people I have ever worked for. He was overbearing and hostile on his best days. He has cultivated a workplace of fear through scare tactics. The hardware and software we were supporting is extremely archaic. They still have customers that are on Window XP. There is no sign of going cloud based. The database for each store is just sitting on one of their POS and if something happens to it and the one other POS that is dedicated as the failover for the database then the store loses everything. The office is extremely outdated. There is no culture. People that live in MA are forced to go into the office every days even though half of the support team works remotely from other states or from Greece. There was zero training when I started, we are just thrown to the wolves and hope for the best. There is no communication within the departments and especially between the departments. Teams are often understaffed which leads to people being overworked and it shows in their attitude and their work. Middle management is so overworked as well that they barely have a moment to actually do any managing which leaves no room for growth in the departments.
