Pros
Some smart people and great projects although many people have left due to the lack of projects in the past and not having the ability to refuse roles. Leading people staying on the bench for months at a time.
Cons
Although Fluxx has some amazing people working for them. Key issues are rooted in their culture that was not inclusive to people that come from diverse backgrounds and misaligned leadership. Before starting Fluxx I spoke to previous employees, who commented ‘Fluxx was a special place to work due to it’s culture’. Their diversity and inclusivity were brought up in many conversations as they want everyone to act and think the same which can be alienating if you are different from 95% of their white workforce. During my time working there, I was continuous, reminded by many of the leaders that I was black and did not fit into their culture, which had a negative effect on how I felt, delivered at work and who I am as an individual by Fluxx two partners and some senior members. Some of the leadership at Fluxx is toxic and does not support the growth of the business. This has led to one of the partners leaving and 4 long-serving employees all leaving at once to the same competitor. This does not include countless others that have left for no clear reason within Fluxx. Sadly, Fluxx is a company that is not ready to accept change and diversity from people that are outside of their special culture. Disclaimer: I still respect a lot of people working for Fluxx however it is key to address some of the issues around the agency. I have tried to provide a fair point of view.
