There do seem to be some well-meaning individual contributors and with heart in the right place.

It seems there may be a lack of real world work experience and ability by leadership/mgmt in the operational basics of running a business and driving strategy; below average pay; low transparency; resource constraints can create ceiling on career advancement; systemic overwork; understaffing.

Interesting and challenging problem space. Smart, passionate, conscientious people. Autonomy in your work & approach and potential to take ownership of decisions.

Lots of time spent working individually. Flat hierarchies and lack of middle-management can make decision-making process sluggish. Diverse range of projects can make it challenging to identify commonalities and ensure people's skills and time are used in the most appropriate way across the organisation.
