Pros

If you’re dealing with a toxic workplace but still have to engage with customers professionally, the key is separating the customer interaction from the internal chaos around you

Cons

—constant criticism, yelling, favoritism, disorganization, and feeling singled out—can create a genuinely toxic work environment. Even when a workplace is chaotic overall, being repeatedly targeted by a manager can wear down your confidence and make every day feel tense.

Pros

It’s a great environment. From my first day on the job I felt valued and appreciated. Everyone from HR to Regional Managers, up to the Director of Operations are always willing to answer questions. They put a lot of effort into making where we work a fun place to be. The benefits and time off are good with flexibility on when you’re able to take it. It’s not always an easy job, it’s constantly moving and always changing but it’s a fun place to be with people who want to see you succeed.

Cons

I can’t say I can personally think of anything.

Pros

Great health insurance, decent pay and time off. Off early on Friday if things are running smoothly. You will gain a ton of hotel points because you're basically living in them if your territory is big enough.

Cons

They're able to combine intense micromanagement with a lack of support and no clear direction, which is honestly impressive. I've worked for a few companies in my life, and Floorplan Xpress was by far the most mismanaged. If you read all of the previous reviews, most follow a similar pattern. There is a concentration of power up top, and everything has to go thru one person, who everyone is terrified of and leads by fear. I was an area manager and was told I was allowed to make decisions, but you're not. Every decision has to be reviewed. Even if I had a simple issue, I had to call my supervisor, who would then go "wellll.....let me make a call". Then they'd have to get with the person up top, and hopefully you can get an answer before the day is out. They'd preach "let me know what you need" but then they'd never be available. I'd have massive pressing issues that I could have solved easily if there was a different structure to problem solving. Dealers will lie to you and send you on wild goose chases, and all of this is your problem and you're expected to solve it no matter what. There were points where I had to work weekends to handle issues, or be on a dealers lot at either 6am or 10pm at night. This is all part of your salary, so don't expect comp time or any overtime. You're magically expected to know things that aren't communicated to you. Not to be too specific ,a new criteria was added in a dealers contract, and we had no meeting, no email, no advisement of this new criteria at all. Then when we had issues with this new criteria, got chastised for not having my crystal ball at the ready. They're highly willing to bend the rules if it benefits them. If it's something they don't want to do, they'll hit you with "that isn't our policy" or some variation of that. They claim to be a flexible partner for dealers, but they aren't. Very strict, very rigid, very unwilling to compromise and truly become trusted with their customers. Don't take my word for it, read all the reviews here, on Indeed, and in all the car dealer forums/pages. Continually touted as bottom tier by an overwhelming majority.
