Pros
I can't think of a positive since the new management came in.
Cons
Lets start off with the simple things that you would expect to be up to standard. - The office is disgusting, if you walk in through the side entrance you can see stains on the carpets leading from the door up every step, you would think it would be in the companies interest to make sure that the entrances were appealing at least, however when you walk into the offices it just gets worse, there are stains on the walls, radiators hanging off, taps that leak or just don't work, you can smell the toilets just by walking past them, the soap runs out in the toilets at times and it can take 24 hours for them to replace it, the hand dryers are dirty and take a long time to dry your hands, they are about as useful as an asthmatic snail, the computers are piggy backed off of each other, then we get to the carpets inside the office itself, you would think that it was ground zero for COVID-19, black stains everywhere and the kitchens (if you could call it that) is inadequate, the microwaves are sometimes left dirty for days. I have never worked in a place so unhygienic. - Sales do not liaise with development, they will sell a product to the customer with no understanding on whether the product has the functionality that they are selling to the customer, this then goes through all of the relevant processes and leaks into development where we tell them that the 200 hour development you have quoted is actually around 1000 hours, we are then expected to work around the clock to complete that 1000 hour development within the same time scale, causing defects to leak and customers to get frustrated, however the blame will be solely down to the development teams, this is a very much blame culture company, rather than looking for resolutions they will blame someone below them to relieve the pressure on themselves. - This brings me on to management, they have no care for the teams, its a face fits company, you can be the best developer or the best tester within the company but if your face doesn't fit, you are not going anywhere, in fact I saw multiple people with less capability promoted within a very short period of time just because their face fitted, those people would then leave when they started to speak their mind and management would outcast them. The hierarchy is confusing and power hungry, if you don't click with them, trust me you won't ever progress. - HR, what can I say about HR, i made complaints about sanitary conditions and lack of support, HR are told to request the Graduates to make sure they put a positive score on Glassdoor. Unfortunately my review is very much the reality of PCMS or should I say Flooid. When ever I have gone to HR or Facilities about an issue, I was made to feel like I did not appreciate what the company had done for me, rather than listen to my concerns about the office they would respond with "We provide the best possible service and our cleaners do an excellent job" If that is so then why was there a tomato spillage in the microwave for 4 days. Many people currently working at this company or who have left the company do not feel like HR support the employees in the slightest. - Parking is not great, I wouldn't put it as one of the worst things however the car park is very small, with people double parking, some of the spaces are so small you can hardly get out. - Training is non existent so if you want to learn a new language or just try to expand your knowledge base, you should do this in your own time and when you do this and start doing the extra within your role, do not expect it to be acknowledges in fact, it will become an expectation that you do it anyway.
